Who’s familiar with Game Of Thrones. At this day in age I hope all of you are. If not familiar with Game Of Thrones, How about Spider Man?
Two different stories but what do they have in common, the protagonists that faced an unjustified fate that no one, can get over, not the spectators not the characters.
In Game Of Thrones that is Ned Stark, In Spiderman that is Uncle Ben. Both characters with strong personalities and pure hearts that faced an unfair death… Could’ve been avoided and at the time seemingly unnecessary.
But their untimely death sets the whole story in motion, and fuels everyone with passion and a necessity to avenge them somehow.
My theory is, because most of us see ourselves being the Ned’s and the Ben’s of the world. Who try to do the right thing, and out of nowhere life fucks us over. FOR NO REASON.
But, when you really think about it… If we step out of self-centered bubble for five seconds and take a look at the scenario.
Aren’t we more the Cersei , Sansa or in Spider Man terms Mary Jane, Gwen of the world. Who helplessly watch as things happen to the protagonists go through what they go through and don’t really do much.
Do we interfere everytime we see something unjust happen, do we just let it happen. Do we fight for the truth or do we settle for the lie when we feel outnumbered…?
Who are we really? In the day to day basis? Do we speak the truth… Or do we accept the lie out of fear and let someone else suffer the consequences for our cowardice….
